BlackBox provides a GSM and Next G mobile phone location service in Australia. You need to have a Telstra service.
By subscribing to the BlackBox service you are able to locate business phones through a secure web browser. Our monthly subscription fees allow you to manage your usage.
This service allows you to identify the closest field worker to a new job, who is in the office and if a traveller has arrived at their destination all through a simple web service. All of this happens without needing to trouble the field worker or disturbing their work. You can program the service to automatically record the location for you at set intervals.
BlackBox has found that the accuracy is typically within 300 metres in built up areas but can be more on occasions and in regional areas where the error may increase to a kilometre or more due to network conditions. The phone must be turned on and inside of coverage for the service to work.
